Adding to the recent boom in reinventing old spaces with new entertainment minded usage, The Etropal is a La Porte’s newest addition to the continued effort to invest back into ill used downtown areas, and get the locals back into the city center instead of spending their time and money in chains across town, or in sacrosanct clubs that offer little but awful music, and overpriced swill.
People want something with a little more substance, a place they can enjoy on a supercilious level, but invest in as they see it as a place they can love, and foster, and really get behind as somewhere they need to tell their friends about. Every bar owner wants somewhere guys want to take girls on first dates, and Etropal is cornering that market in La Porte. With its dodgy, prohibition era vibe, the bar and grill gives customers a refined, but rough hands place to get a drink and mingle.
Featuring over 60 varieties of beer, and expert mixologists on staff, Etropal is a place to get a great cocktail at an affordable price. The décor is New Orleans inspired – a hint of darkness with an illicit vibe. Exactly the kind of place the ghouls on the Michiana Entertainer staff like to party.
Before you ask, Etropal is La Porte backwards. Thous Denb is South Bend backwards, but somehow, those jangled letters just don’t have the same kind of ring to it as Etropal does, funny how those geniuses in marketing work.
Get out to Etropal and tell em’ we sent ya.
